Schedule of payment of Tet gifts to pensioners and allowances
Pensioners and beneficiaries need to clearly understand the Tet gift payment schedule so as not to miss their rights.
According to the instructions of the Hanoi Social Insurance (VSS), the list of gifts for the 2026 Lunar New Year for pensioners and monthly allowances for loss of working capacity is made in 2 rounds, ensuring the right subjects and the right time according to regulations.
The implementation is to implement Plan No. 341/KH-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee on caring for the lives of social security beneficiaries on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year.
According to the instructions, the beneficiaries of gifts are those receiving monthly pensions and allowances for loss of working capacity according to the February 2026 payment list of Hanoi Social Insurance.
In addition, pensioners from other provinces, Military Social Insurance, and People's Public Security Social Insurance transferred to receive pensions in Hanoi before February 1, 2026 are also eligible to receive.
In addition, employees who have submitted a request for settlement of pension benefits, received, settled by Hanoi Social Insurance and issued a decision to receive before February 1, 2026, will also be included in the gift giving list. Determining correctly and fully the subjects is to ensure legitimate rights, avoid omission or duplication of payments in the process of implementing the policy.
This year's Tet gift is 300,000 VND/person. The implementation budget is transferred by the People's Committees of wards and communes to the accounts of the Social Insurance of the grassroots level opened at commercial banks. The grassroots social insurance company is responsible for coordinating with the People's Committees of wards and communes to receive the funds before January 20, and promptly transfer them to the Hanoi Social Insurance and central post offices to organize payment.
Based on the list of pension and social insurance benefits payments in February 2026, Hanoi Social Insurance will make a list of the first Tet gift gifts on January 27. This period applies to those who are receiving pensions, monthly allowances and cases that are newly approved or transferred from other provincial Social Insurance, the Army, and the People's Public Security before January 26.
The list of gifts for the second Lunar New Year was established on February 2, for cases receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits that were newly approved or transferred from January 26 to before February 1, with the time of receiving the regime calculated from February onwards.
Hanoi Social Insurance said it will coordinate with the Central Post Office to organize the payment of Tet gifts from the City People's Committee to pensioners and monthly allowances for loss of working capacity in cash or through personal accounts. The payment is made in the same period as the February pension, ensuring timeliness, safety, completeness and compliance with regulations.
Currently, Hanoi Social Insurance is paying monthly pensions and social insurance benefits to more than 606,000 people, with a total amount of about 49,500 billion VND per year. The rate of payment through personal accounts reached 99.53%, contributing to improving management efficiency, transparency and facilitating beneficiaries.
