Lam Dong proposes the Government to plan traffic connecting Gia Nghia - Bao Loc - Phan Thiet
Lam Dong - According to the provincial leaders, the Gia Nghia - Bao Loc - Phan Thiet transport route is a driving force for the locality to strive for "double-digit" GRDP growth.
At a direct and online conference with localities to summarize the implementation of tasks of the finance, budget and investment sectors in 2025; deploy tasks in 2026 chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the afternoon of January 6, Lam Dong provincial leaders reported and proposed that the Ministry of Finance and the Government include in the planning of the road connecting Gia Nghia - Bao Loc - Phan Thiet.

According to Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the locality has many development opportunities in areas such as mineral exploitation, industry, green energy, high-tech agriculture and resort tourism.
Lam Dong also plays an important role in the overall development of the country.
In recent times, the province has focused on implementing many key tasks such as investing in transport infrastructure, irrigation infrastructure, removing difficulties for backlog projects and speeding up the issuance of investment policies.

However, in 2025, Lam Dong province's GRDP growth will reach 6.42%, not meeting the Prime Minister's expectations.
To create room for "double-digit" growth in 2026, the provincial leaders proposed that the Ministry of Finance and the Government create conditions to include in the planning of the East-West axis road, connecting the three core areas of the province including Gia Nghia - Bao Loc - Phan Thiet.
According to the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, this is a project of decisive nature, contributing to connecting the trade of agricultural and seafood products, serving the transportation and exploitation of minerals in the province as well as neighboring areas.

When implemented and put into use, the route will create momentum to promote socio-economic development, increasing the growth rate of local GRDP.
From mid-2025, Lam Dong province will be formed on the basis of merging the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong, becoming the province with the largest area in the country with over 24,000km2 and a population of nearly 3.9 million people.
With a large area, diverse terrain, and connecting transport infrastructure, it is always an issue of special concern to provincial leaders.
In the period of 2026 - 2030, Lam Dong province sets a goal of rapid and sustainable economic growth, focusing on investing in the construction of key infrastructure projects.
In particular, the province is speeding up the progress of projects such as the North-South high-speed railway; Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway (Tan Phu - Bao Loc, Bao Loc - Lien Khuong section); Nha Trang - Lien Khuong expressway; Gia Nghia - Phan Thiet expressway; North - South expressway (Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section); renovating and upgrading national highways 27, 28, 55 and Gia Nghia - Bao Lam dynamic road.
