Inauguration of the trillion-dong park project in Vung Tau
HCMC - The Thuy Van road renovation project with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND was inaugurated on December 19.
On the morning of December 19, the Vung Tau Construction Investment Project Management Board held an inauguration ceremony for the Thuy Van road renovation project ( Bai Sau area, Vung Tau and Tam Thang wards, Ho Chi Minh City).
Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and representatives of departments, branches and localities attended the ceremony.
The Thuy Van road renovation project has a total investment of more than 1,069 billion VND; focusing on a park of nearly 20 hectares, stretching 3.2km along the Bai Sau coast. After completing the construction investment, this area has become a coastal park on par with many parks in the world with many open spaces, public services, a 3D mapping art lighting performance system, and a modern lighting system along the coast.
Notably, Tam Thang Square is over 1.63ha with the Tam Thang Tower highlight, considered a new symbol of the area. After being put into operation, this area will be a place to connect cuisine, art, entertainment and sports spaces; community meeting place.
It is known that on December 19, agencies and units in the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) held a groundbreaking ceremony to inaugurate 8 key projects with a total investment of VND 15,140 billion.
Of which, 2 projects were started: the Hoi Bai - Phuoc Tan road upgrade and expansion project with an investment of about VND 3,690 billion and the PV Drilling IX drilling system restart project with an investment of about VND 442 billion.
Along with the Thuy Van road embellishment project, 5 other key projects were also inaugurated by agencies and units such as: inauguration of the Cai Mep - Thi Vai fairway upgrading project with a total investment of 1,426 billion VND invested by the Maritime Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction); inaugurating the power supply project from the National grid for Con Dao, with a total investment of 4,923 billion VND with Vietnam Electricity Group as the investor; inaugurating 3 projects under the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group, including: CPP central technology processing platform base project in block B - O Mon, with an investment of 2,100 billion VND; project to buy Aframax type crude oil tanker with tonnage of 115,617 DWT with an investment of 930 billion VND; Project to buy MR type oil tanker with tonnage of 47,980 DWT with an investment of 560 billion VND.

In particular, the expansion and upgrading project, the Hoi Bai - Phuoc Tan (DT992) road section is about 8.5km long, and will be upgraded and expanded from 16m to 72m, connecting DT991B road (connecting to Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster), National Highway 51 with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway. After completion, the project will contribute to connecting with the North - South expressway in the East, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4, Long Thanh International Airport, economic centers, and seaports. Thereby, maximizing the potential of the region, meeting transportation needs; creating space, motivation, and development space for the Southeast region with a synchronous and modern technical infrastructure system and social infrastructure.
The project to supply electricity from the national grid to Con Dao (HCMC) aims to provide a stable and long-term power source for Con Dao. The power line includes 17.5 km of overhead lines passing through Can Tho City, 77.7 km of underground cables crossing the sea from the mainland to the island, and 8.5 km of underground cables in the Con Dao Special Zone.
