Inauguration of Binh Khanh Bridge worth over VND3,700 billion
Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Khanh Bridge with an investment capital of more than VND 3,700 billion was inaugurated on the morning of December 19.
On the morning of December 19, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) held an inauguration ceremony for Binh Khanh Bridge - a project under Package J1, Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway Construction Project.

Binh Khanh Bridge crosses the Soai Rap River, connecting Hiep Phuoc Commune (old Nha Be District) with Binh Khanh Commune (old Can Gio District), with a total investment of more than VND 3,700 billion, implemented by Japanese consulting units and contractors, using preferential loans (STEP of the Japanese Government).
The project has a global length of 2,764 m, of which the cable-stayed bridge is 749.5 m long, the main span is 375 m; the approach road on both sides is about 1,694 m long and the overpass on Nguyen Van Tao and Nguyen Huu Tho streets is 320 m long.
The cross-section of the bridge is on a 4-lane high-speed scale, the tower is about 155 m high, the boat clearance is 55 m.
Binh Khanh Bridge started construction in August 2015. However, by the end of 2018, when it had only reached about 70% of the volume, the project had to be temporarily suspended for a long time due to a number of objective reasons, including changes in mechanisms and policies and failure to arrange ODA capital.
In September 2022, Package J1 was restarted; Binh Khanh Bridge was re-constructed from March 2023.
