Opening of the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress

This morning (December 27), the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress with the theme: "Emulation for innovation, creativity, accelerating breakthroughs, bringing the country into an era of strong, civilized and prosperous development" officially opened at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.

The Congress is tasked with summarizing emulation movements and reward work in the 2021-2025 period; honoring and commending outstanding individuals and groups in patriotic emulation movements and setting out directions and tasks to continue innovating emulation and reward work in the next 5 years, creating momentum and motivation to contribute to the successful implementation of the task of socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security in the 2026-2030 period in the spirit of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, bringing our country into a new era - the era of national development, prosperity and prosperity.

According to the program, the Congress will listen to General Secretary To Lam give a speech; Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council - launch a patriotic emulation movement for the 2026-2030 period and a speech by representative of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in response to the emulation launch.

Attending the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress were 2,223 delegates (including 198 invited delegates and 2,025 official delegates) who are individual heroes, representatives of national Heroic and Emulation Fighters collectives, advanced models who have been conferred and honored since the 10th National Patriotic Emulation Congress to date; overseas Vietnamese and foreigners with meritorious contributions to Vietnam; delegates who are Chairmen of the Emulation and Reward Council of ministries, departments, branches, central organizations, provinces and cities.

According to information from the Organizing Committee, attending the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress were 139 individuals and representatives of the "Heroes of the People's Armed Forces" and "Heroes of Labor" who were awarded from 2021 to present; 86 delegates representing the National Emulation Fighter were awarded from 2021 to present. 198 delegates are ethnic minorities.

138 outstanding delegates representing the professions and fields: doctors, teachers, artisans, artists, scientists, writers, individuals who received the Ho Chi Minh Prize, State Prize; journalists; young talents; veterans; former youth volunteers; people with revolutionary contributions. 1,326 delegates are typical and excellent advanced in patriotic emulation movements, mainly those who directly work in production in the fields of economy, culture, society, national defense, security of ministries, departments, branches, central organizations, provinces and cities.

The oldest delegate is Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, 98 years old, Hero of Labor, former Vice President. There are 5 youngest delegates (11 years old).

On the afternoon of December 26, at the holding session of the Congress, delegates listened to the dissemination of the Congress's program and rules; reported on the composition, number, and structure of delegates attending the Congress; approved the Congress Program and approved the rituals for the opening day.

Within the framework of the Congress, there will be a photo exhibition about Uncle Ho with patriotic emulation movements and emulation congresses; an exhibition introducing the country's economic and social achievements after 40 years of national renovation; an exchange program of advanced examples; honoring and rewarding Labor Heroes, People's Armed Forces Heroes, and National Emulation Fighters.
