Hung Yen - The provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment held a conference to summarize 2025 and set out key tasks for 2026.

In 2025, the Agriculture and Environment sector of Hung Yen province has achieved many important results, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production is estimated at VND44,918 billion, up 4.1% over 2024.

Agricultural production continues to strongly shift to the agricultural economy, developing a centralized model, linking value chains, organic, circular, ecological agriculture and reducing emissions.

Crop cultivation, plant protection and Mechanization work has been effectively implemented. Livestock is maintained stably in the direction of biosafety. The seafood sector grew, with total output estimated at 358.7 thousand tons, up 3.18%.

The management of fishing vessels and illegal fishing (IUU) has been tightened, 100% of vessels are eligible for registration, inspection, and installation of voyage monitoring equipment.

Irrigation, dykes and natural disaster prevention are proactively deployed, inspection and timely handling of violations. The new rural program, OCOP, cooperatives, farms, and craft villages contribute to increasing farmers' income.

Land, resource, mineral management and environmental protection have many changes; the rate of urban waste collection and treatment has reached 100%, rural areas have 95%, households have 98% clean water.

In 2026, the industry determined to focus on restructuring green and sustainable agriculture; increasing added value; resource management, environmental protection; natural disaster prevention; promoting administrative reform, digital transformation.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hung Nam has requested the industry to overcome the shortcomings, closely follow the provincial planning, complete the project for developing crops, livestock, and seafood; review the dyke and irrigation systems; strengthen inspection and management of sensitive areas, resolve bottlenecks, and create investment momentum.

Along with that, strengthen the control and prevention of environmental pollution; advise on planning and orienting the network, waste treatment system, wastewater in residential areas, industrial parks and clusters.

On this occasion, 17 collectives and individuals in the Agriculture and Environment sector with outstanding achievements in performing tasks in 2025 were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee and the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
