More than 13,669 ethnic minorities in Da Nang continue to receive health insurance support
Da Nang spends more than 3.75 billion VND to extend health insurance policies for ethnic minorities until the end of June 2026.
The People's Council of Da Nang City has just issued Resolution No. 46/2025/NQ-HDND (December 11, 2025) on extending the implementation period of health insurance (HI) support policies for ethnic minorities in the city.
According to the resolution, Da Nang continues to implement the health insurance support policy according to Resolution No. 04/2022/NQ-HDND of the People's Council of Quang Nam province (old), amended and supplemented in Resolution No. 11/2025/NQ-HDND, until June 30, 2026. Resolution 46 takes effect from December 31, 2025.
The extension of the implementation period aims to ensure that the health insurance policy is not interrupted, helping ethnic minorities to be examined and treated promptly, to the right subjects, to the right scope, in accordance with the regulations of the Government and the Prime Minister on the determination of ethnic minority areas and communes in regions I, II, III.
The policy also contributes to ensuring the city budget balance for the period 20262030, while creating conditions for ethnic minorities to be supported with 100% of the health insurance contribution level, improving access to primary health care services, improving health, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and building new rural areas.
It is expected that the total budget for implementing the health insurance support policy for ethnic minorities in Da Nang City by June 30, 2026 will be about more than 3.7 billion VND, with 13,669 beneficiaries.
