More than 1,000 Hai Phong union members walk to conquer Son Dao mountain
Hai Phong - On the morning of January 11, the Trade Union of Thuy Nguyen - Thien Huong wards organized a walking race to successfully celebrate the City Trade Union Congress.
The "Union members and workers conquer Son Dao mountain" walking contest is an activity to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Vietnam Trade Union Congress for the 2026 - 2031 term and successfully celebrate the first Hai Phong City Trade Union Congress, the 2025 - 2030 term.
From early morning on January 11, more than 1,000 athletes who are union members, workers, and laborers of grassroots unions managed by the Thuy Nguyen and Thien Huong Ward Unions were present at the foot of Son Dao Mountain to participate in the tournament. Each athlete must complete the 5km distance prescribed by the organizing committee, conquering the top of Son Dao mountain - one of the landscape highlights of Thuy Nguyen ward.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hue - Chairwoman of Thien Huong Ward Trade Union said that this event is not simply a race but also a testament to the spirit of practicing sports following the example of great Uncle Ho, an activity to improve the health and spiritual life of workers. At the same time, it is an opportunity for union members and workers of the units to exchange, connect, and build a strong Trade Union organization.
On this occasion, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation presented 270 Tet gifts to union members in difficult circumstances of Thien Huong Ward Trade Union, 90 gifts to union members of Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union. Each gift is worth 1,000,000 VND.
