Hai Lang receives Certificate of recognition of new rural district standards

On the evening of March 15, Hai Lang district (Quang Tri) solemnly organized a program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the district's liberation (March 19, 1975 - March 19, 2025) and received the Certificate of recognition of the district meeting new rural standards.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Phuong Dinh Anh - Deputy Chief of the Central New Rural Office; on the side of Quang Tri province, there was Mr. Nguyen Long Hai - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hai Lang District Party Secretary Nguyen Khanh Vu affirmed that exactly 50 years ago, in the spring of 1975, the army and people of Hai Lang fought bravely, won an important victory, liberated their home district and contributed to the Tri Thien - Central Highlands liberation campaign, accelerating the advance to liberate the South and unify the country.

After the war, the infrastructure was devastated, but the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Lang were determined to unite, overcome difficulties, rebuild and develop the economy and society. Currently, the district has completed new rural criteria, people's lives have been improved, infrastructure projects and traffic connections are being strongly invested in.

Hai Lang today has vivid villages, vast FSC-certified forests, and rice fields rich in grains. This is one of the localities in the Southeast Economic Zone, where key projects of Quang Tri province are currently being implemented such as Quang Tri Industrial Park and My Thuy Port Area.

At the ceremony, Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai praised Hai Lang's achievements, and suggested that the locality continue to promote the revolutionary heroic tradition, the will to overcome difficulties, self-reliance, and self-strengthening; the spirit of studiousness, and good exploitation of local resources. Continue to maintain the criteria for building new rural areas, strive to build communes in Hai Lang to soon meet the criteria for advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas.
