Hanoi urgently orders opening of Ngoc Hoi - Phap Van Expressway connection branch
Hanoi issued an urgent order to renovate the Phap Van - Nuoc Ngam bus station intersection to reduce congestion at the southern gateway.
Late on December 22, the Hanoi People's Committee issued an emergency order to renovate infrastructure and organize traffic in the area of Phap Van intersection, Nuoc Ngam Bus Station and Lane 15 Ngoc Hoi (Hoang Mai Ward) to reduce congestion at the southern gateway of the capital.
According to the Hanoi Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board, the project has been approved by the Department of Construction, including a sidewalk to expand alley 15 Ngoc Hoi; opening a connecting branch from the service road to the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway so that vehicles from Giai Phong - Ngoc Hoi do not have to go through Phap Van intersection.
The functional unit will also cut the median strip of Do Muoi Street, widen the road surface, create a separate left turn lane; adjust the painting, signs and traffic lights according to standards. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
