Hanoi starts construction of the last pieces of Ring Road 2.5
Hanoi - 3 sections of Ring Road 2.5 with a length of 2.26km started construction this morning with a total investment of about 8,402 billion VND, expected to be completed in 2026.
On the morning of March 20, Hanoi People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build Ring Road 2.5 in sections: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area; Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung; Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai.
These are the last 3 sections of Ring Road 2.5 in the city to be built, with a total length of about 2.26km.
Section 1: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area, about 0.71km long, 50m cross-section in Cau Giay ward, Yen Hoa ward (starting point at Dich Vong new urban area; ending point on Duong Dinh Nghe street).
Section 2: Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung, about 0.6km long, cross-section 40m in Yen Hoa ward (starting point at the Mac Thai Tong - Vu Pham Ham intersection; ending point at the Tran Duy Hung - Hoang Dao Thuy intersection).
Section 3: Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai, about 0.95km long, 40m cross-section in Thanh Xuan ward (starting point at the intersection of Hoang Dao Thuy - Nguy Nhu Kon Tum streets; ending point at Nguyen Trai street).
Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (the investor) said that the project includes 4 component projects, including 3 component projects for site clearance and a component project for construction investment.
The project has a total estimated investment of about 8,402 billion VND, from the city budget.

Emphasizing the particularly important nature of the 3 sections of Ring Road 2.5, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang requested the investor and contractors to focus maximum machinery and manpower to organize scientific, urgent, and safe construction, strictly complying with the provisions of law; ensuring the quality, technique, and aesthetics of the project and striving to complete it according to the approved schedule.
The Ring Road 2.5 project, when completed, will contribute to removing traffic bottlenecks, improving urban quality and sustainable development of the Capital" - Mr. Thang said.
Mr. Vu Dai Thang also hopes that the city will continue to receive the attention, direction and support of Party and State leaders, central and local ministries and branches throughout the city so that key infrastructure projects can be implemented synchronously and effectively.
Ring Road 2.5 starts from Ciputra New Urban Area, ending at the intersection with Ring Road 3 (section near Thanh Tri bridge) with a total length of about 19.64km, planned width of 40-50m, divided into 13 sections.
