Site clearance for National Highway 6: Hanoi finalizes deadline for completion in 3 wards

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a notice requesting Yen Nghia, Duong Noi and Kien Hung wards to complete the site clearance of National Highway 6 (Ba La - Xuan Mai section) according to the committed schedule, determined not to miss the deadline.

Implementing the City's direction, all 3 localities are "racing" against time, synchronously deploying solutions to remove obstacles and soon hand over clean land for this key project.

Yen Nghia: Area with the largest reclaimed area

Among the localities where the project passes through, Yen Nghia ward faces the largest workload. The total area to be cleared is up to 12.4 hectares, directly affecting 622 households and individuals (mainly residential land).

Mr. Duong Hong Phu, specialist of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department of Yen Nghia Ward, admitted that the implementation process encountered many difficulties. The main reason is the history of land management: this area was previously within the boundaries of Hoai Duc and Thanh Oai districts (old), causing incomplete archival records, and the handover of land records is still difficult.

To resolve this issue, the ward is closely coordinating with the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to:

Complete the site clearance map.

Serve as a legal basis for issuing a notice of land recovery.

Organize meetings, publicize transparent boundaries and compensation and resettlement policies.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Quan - Party Secretary, Chairman of Yen Nghia Ward People's Council affirmed the motto: "Clear people, clear work, clear progress, handle as many problems as arise, do not let them stagnate".

Positive progress in Duong Noi and Kien Hung

Compared to Yen Nghia, the site clearance work for National Highway 6 in Duong Noi and Kien Hung is showing more positive signals:

In Duong Noi ward: The reclaimed area is 2,891.7m2 (line length 384m), involving 30 households with residential land, 21 households with agricultural land and 1 organization.

Progress: The counting has been completed, the people basically agree.

Current status: Currently developing a compensation, support and resettlement plan.

In Kien Hung ward: Total area of about 4,400m2, involving 17 households with residential land, 2 households with production - business land and 14 households with agricultural land.

Goal: Expected to complete compensation payment in February 2026.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Anh - Deputy Head of the Site Clearance Department, Project Management Board said that the tasks are being carried out on the pillow, ensuring correct procedures and without interruption.

Hanoi sets a specific "finishing" time frame

According to Notice No. 812/TB-VP (December 16, 2025) of Comrade Truong Viet Dung at the meeting on transport projects, the Hanoi People's Committee has set deadlines for site clearance for National Highway 6:

Duong Noi and Kien Hung Wards: Committed to complete before April 15, 2026.

Yen Nghia Ward: Committed to completing before September 30, 2026.

Regarding agricultural land: Required to complete site clearance in the first quarter of 2026.

Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Hien, Vice Chairman of Duong Noi Ward People's Committee, said that new policies such as Resolution 254/2025/QH15 and Decision 10/2026/QD-UBND have increased the level of protection for people whose land is recovered and shortened procedures, creating favorable momentum to speed up progress.

Hanoi City is committed to continuing to accompany and ensure compensation and resettlement to the right subjects and in accordance with regulations, expecting the National Highway 6 project, Ba La - Xuan Mai section, to be completed on time, promoting the capital's socio-economic development.
