Gia Lai decided to allocate more than 1,477 tons of rice from the national reserve to support people during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the pre-harvest period at the beginning of 2026.
On January 28, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee decided to allocate more than 1,477 tons of rice from the national reserve to support people during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the pre-harvest period at the beginning of 2026.
Of which, more than 719 tons of rice will be used to support people during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 and more than 758 tons of rice will be supported during the pre-harvest period at the beginning of 2026.
Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to coordinate with the State Reserve Sub-Department of Region XI and the People's Committees of communes and wards to organize the receipt and distribution of rice to people, ensuring completion before February 13.
People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible for allocating the allocated rice in a timely, sufficient, and appropriate manner to the approved beneficiaries for hunger relief during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the pre-harvest period at the beginning of 2026.
Immediately after receiving rice from the State Reserve Sub-Department of Region XI, localities must complete the distribution and report the results to the Provincial People's Committee within 5 days, including holidays, to summarize and report according to regulations.
The allocation and distribution of national reserve rice this time aims to promptly support people in difficult circumstances, contributing to ensuring social security, helping people celebrate the traditional Tet and stabilize their lives during the pre-harvest period at the beginning of 2026.
