Dong Thap resolves administrative procedures on Saturday

Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai has just signed Decision No. 3325/QD-UBND on organizing work on Saturdays every week to receive and handle administrative procedures in the whole province.

Accordingly, from the beginning of 2026, Dong Thap Provincial Public Administration Service Centers will work every Saturday morning. Except for holidays, Tet and other holidays as prescribed by law, these units shall work to receive and handle administrative procedures according to regulations.

Accordingly, the Provincial Public Administration Service Center will receive and handle administrative procedures in the fields of: Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Finance. For other fields, in the process of performing functions and tasks, in case of arising needs to receive and handle administrative procedures on Saturday morning, the Head of the specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, the Head of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, based on the actual situation, will consider and decide on the organization of implementation.

At the Commune-level Public Administration Service Center, the People's Committees of communes and wards are assigned to select areas and types of administrative procedures to organize reception and settlement on Saturday mornings in accordance with the actual needs of citizens, organizations and local conditions. In case no need arises, the implementation will not be organized.

Cadres, employees, and workers participating in working on Saturdays every week are entitled to compensatory leave on other days in accordance with current law. In case the leave is not arranged to compensate for the full time, the overtime salary must be paid in accordance with the provisions of law.
