People offer incense to visit the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap

Recorded during the 2026 New Year holiday, the General's Mausoleum at Vung Chua - Yen Island (Phu Trach commune, Quang Tri province) welcomed a large number of people and tourists to visit. From early morning on January 1-3, people lined up to enter the tomb, quietly preserving the solemnity of the spiritual space.

Visitors are not only local people but also many groups of visitors from provinces and cities such as Bac Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City... Many families chose Vung Chua - Yen Island as their destination at the beginning of the year, sending their wishes for a peaceful and harmonious new year.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that after more than 10 years of returning, the emotions are still intact. Standing in front of the General's tomb, he hoped the country would always be peaceful, and the children of future generations would live in peace and stability.

According to the representative of the General Vo Nguyen Giap Tomb Management Board, the number of visitors this year will increase, especially on January 1. The work of diverting traffic, guiding, and ensuring security and order has been strictly implemented.

Since General Vo Nguyen Giap rested at Vung Chua - Yen Island, this place has become a red address, a special spiritual destination, so that every time Tet comes, Spring comes, people quietly turn back, light incense to commemorate a great personality of the nation.
