Dak Lak completes housing for people in disaster areas before Tet
Dak Lak - Provincial authorities at all levels are focusing on repairing and building new houses for people in disaster areas before the Lunar New Year 2026.
On January 7, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that local authorities and armed forces are still vigorously implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign", urgently building and repairing houses for households that have suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods.
As of early January 2026, the total number of severely damaged houses that need to be repaired is 892; to date, 100% have been completed. For newly built houses, the whole province has 606 apartments; 362 apartments have been completed, reaching nearly 60%.
Of the remaining 244 houses, 167 have been constructed, reaching over 80% of the volume; 61 houses have reached over 65%; 16 houses in resettlement areas are under construction about 50%. It is expected that all houses will be completed before the Lunar New Year 2026.
Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said: "Recently, the province has handed over 362 houses in advance. During the handover process, the province and units, especially the army, have supported people to purchase some essential items such as refrigerators, televisions, and rice cookers to serve their initial daily needs.
Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and units will continue to support necessary items, helping people soon stabilize their lives after receiving new houses".
