Colonel Tran Xuan Luong holds the position of Commander of Coast Guard Region 3

On January 8, in Phuoc Thang Ward (HCMC), the Coast Guard Region 3 Command held a conference to hand over the responsibilities and tasks of the Region Commander according to the decision of the Minister of National Defense.

In which, Major General Ngo Binh Minh - Commander of Coast Guard Region 3 - was transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Vietnam Institute of Strategy and Defense History.

Colonel Tran Xuan Luong - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Coast Guard - was appointed to the position of Commander of Coast Guard Region 3.

At the conference, representatives of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command reported on the content of the handover of responsibilities and tasks of the Region Command; approved the handover minutes in accordance with regulations. After listening to the report and comments, Major General Le Dinh Cuong - Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard - agreed with the handover contents.

Major General Le Dinh Cuong also acknowledged and commended the outstanding results and achievements that the Coast Guard Region 3 Command has achieved in recent times, including the important contributions of Major General Ngo Binh Minh to the process of building and developing the Vietnam Coast Guard force.

The Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard requested that in his new position, Major General Ngo Binh Minh continue to promote his political mettle, intelligence, leadership capacity, and practical experience to successfully fulfill assigned duties and tasks.

At the same time, he requested the new Commander of Coast Guard Region 3 to quickly grasp the task situation, promote a sense of responsibility, strong political will, and work together to build a strong and comprehensive Regional Command; successfully complete all assigned tasks, contributing to maintaining sovereignty, security, and safety of the sea and islands in the South of the Fatherland.
