Da Nang increases electricity bill support for poor households and social policy households
From May 2025, Da Nang city will increase the electricity bill support for poor households and social policy households to 66,000 VND/household/month.
On June 4, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced that Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Nguyen Thi Anh Thi signed Document 3313/UBND-SNNMT on increasing the level of electricity support for poor households according to city standards and social policy households in the city.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Da Nang City requests that agencies, units and localities, based on the provisions of Decision No. 1279/QD-BCT dated May 9, 2025 of the Minister of Industry and Trade regulating electricity selling prices, implement electricity bill support for poor households according to city standards and social policy households with a support level of VND 66,000/household/month.
The application period is from May 2025. The People's Committee of Da Nang City assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with relevant agencies to guide localities to promptly pay electricity bills to poor households according to city standards and social policy households in May 2025.
The People's Committees of districts and towns proactively balance from the State budget estimate to support electricity bills for the additional difference from 63,000 VND/household/month to 66,000 VND/household/month, from May 2025 until the arrangement project is approved by the competent authority.
