Da Nang sets an economic growth target of 11% in 2026
Da Nang - In the last 6 months of 2025, despite being affected by natural disasters and floods, the city still recorded a GRDP growth rate of 8.37%.
On the afternoon of January 6, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026.
The conference reported and evaluated the socio-economic development situation, national defense and security in 2025 and the work of assigning targets, tasks and solutions in 2026.

According to the City People's Committee, in the first 6 months of the year, Da Nang city recorded a GRDP growth rate of 9.43%, of which Da Nang achieved a growth rate of 11.7%, demonstrating its leading role with outstanding recovery and development speed in the service, processing, manufacturing and tourism industries and Quang Nam grew by 6.63%, contributing to the stability and production foundation in the industrial and agricultural sectors.
The city has also focused on effectively implementing a number of key tasks such as: a series of commercial, cultural, tourism events, DIFF International Fireworks Festival 2025, active activities in industrial parks such as Chu Lai, Tam Thang and industrial clusters on the outskirts of Da Nang - Quang Nam, handing over and putting into use a number of large projects in the city...
On July 1, 2025, after Da Nang city and Quang Nam province merged, the new Da Nang city will have an area of 11,859.59 km2, a population of nearly 3 million people with 94 commune-level administrative units; however, there are still some major challenges such as economic gaps, infrastructure, and traffic connection between urban and mountainous areas.
In that context, with the highest determination to mobilize and unlock all resources for socio-economic development, Da Nang continues to affirm its role as the socio-economic center of the Central region.

The results of the last 6 months of 2025, the city recorded a growth rate of 8.37%, of which in the third quarter of 2025, the city's GRDP increased by 9.66%, although it decreased slightly compared to the second quarter, but still showed the stability of the service and industrial sectors, especially the improvement of tourism activities and the construction sector.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, GRDP growth is estimated at 7.23%, down from the third quarter and the first 6 months of the year due to the fact that in addition to internal factors of the economy, the city's GRDP growth is also significantly affected by natural disasters, complicated storms and floods in the area and the Central region.
It is estimated that the city's GRDP will continue to maintain a good growth rate in 2025. The GRDP growth rate for the whole year is estimated at 9.18%, ranking 9th out of 34 provinces and centrally-run cities. The scale of GRDP is estimated at 316.1 trillion VND, an increase of 35.5 trillion VND compared to 2024, ranking 13th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide and contributing about 2.5% to the GDP structure of the country.
GRDP per capita is 4,287 USD. This result reflects the positive recovery trend of sectors and fields in the area and reflects efforts in operations, improving the investment environment, and supporting businesses.
In 2026, Da Nang City strives to achieve an economic growth rate of 11% or more, in which: the added value of the service sector increased by about 11.5-12.5%, continuing to play a key role; the industrial - construction sector increased by about 12.5-13.5%; the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector increased by about 3.0-3.5%. The economic scale reached over 367 trillion VND.
The average GRDP per capita is about 4,900-5,000 USD/person. Total investment capital implemented at current prices is equivalent to 26-27% of GRDP. Total state budget revenue in the area increased by 10% or more.
