Traffic police do not check driver's health certificate
The Traffic Police Department affirmed that the task force did not check the health certificate of the driver.
The Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security has just responded to people's questions about the types of documents they need to bring when driving a vehicle on the road.
Accordingly, the fanpage of this unit received a question from people with the content "Does the traffic police have the right to check and fine the driver if he does not have a health certificate?".
In response to the above question, the Traffic Police Department cited Article 56 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, which stipulates the conditions for drivers when participating in traffic.
Accordingly, when traveling on the road, drivers only have to carry the following documents:
Vehicle registration certificate or certified copy (with a certificate from a credit institution if the vehicle is being mortgaged); Driver's license suitable for the type of vehicle being driven; Certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection for motor vehicles according to regulations;
Certificate of compulsory civil liability insurance of motor vehicle owners.
In case these documents have been integrated into an electronic identification account such as VNeID or VNeTraffic, the presentation and inspection can be done through an electronic identification account, no paper copy is required.
The Traffic Police Department affirmed that the traffic police force on patrol and control routes did not check the health certificate of the driver. This is not the type of document that is required to be carried when participating in traffic according to current regulations.
However, in some necessary cases, such as when a traffic accident or an incident occurs or there are signs related to the driver's health condition, the authorities will take verification measures and investigate according to the professional process to clarify whether the driver's health is guaranteed at the time of driving.
