HCMC - Phu Loi Ward Police helped a resident receive a mistaken transfer fee when paying for a Tet bus ticket to return home.

On January 12, Phu Loi Ward Police said they had assisted a resident in receiving money back after transferring money incorrectly when paying for a bus ticket to return home.

The person receiving support is Mr. Pham Van Doan (born in 1993, residing in Phu Loi ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

Previously, on the evening of January 10, Mr. Pham Van Doan booked a bus ticket to return home for Tet and mistakenly transferred 1.5 million VND to the account number of a resident in Huong Son commune, Ha Tinh province.

After the incident, Mr. Pham Van Doan went to Phu Loi Ward Police to report and asked the ward police for support to receive the money transferred by mistake.

Immediately after receiving information about the incident, a representative of Phu Loi Ward Police contacted Huong Son Commune Police, Ha Tinh Province to verify the information that the account owner received the money transfer by mistake.

The police of the two localities have coordinated closely and contacted the account owner. After that, the account owner transferred the entire amount of 1.5 million VND to Mr. Pham Van Doan.

Mr. Doan said that this is the money he saves to buy a bus ticket to return home to visit his family during Tet. Mr. Doan sent his thanks to Phu Loi Ward Police and Huong Son Commune Police for their enthusiastic support so that he could contact the account owner who received the money by mistake. At the same time, thank you N.H.A for quickly returning the money.
