Transfer press management to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism

The Government has just issued Decree No. 43/2025/ND-CP dated February 28, 2025, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is a Government agency, performing the function of state management of culture; family; physical education, sports; tourism; journalism; radio and television; news; publishing, printing, and distribution; electronic information; basic information and foreign information nationwide; state management of public services in sectors and fields under the state management of the ministry.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has 25 units including:

1. Department of Organization and Personnel;

2. Department of Planning and Finance;

3. Department of Legal Affairs;

4. Department of Science, Technology, Training and Environment;

5. Ministry Office;

6. Ministry Inspectorate;

7. Department of Cultural Heritage;

8. Department of Performing Arts;

9. Department of Cinema;

10. copyright Department;

11. Department of Culture, Family and Library;

12. Department of International Cooperation;

13. Department of Fine Arts, photography and Exhibition;

14. Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports;

15. Vietnam National Administration of Tourism;

16. Department of Ethnic Culture of Vietnam;

17. Department of Journalism;

18. Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information;

19. Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution;

20. Department of Information and Foreign Information;

21. Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism;

22. Culture Newspaper;

23. Culture and Arts Magazine;

24. Center for Digital Transformation of Culture, Sports and Tourism;

25. The School of Cultural, Sports and Tourism Management Staff.

Organizations specified from 1 to 20 are administrative organizations that assist the Minister in performing state management functions; organizations specified from 21 to 25 are public service units serving the state management function of the ministry.

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism submitted to the Prime Minister for decision to issue a list of other public service units under the ministry.

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism stipulates the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of agencies and units under the ministry.

The Department of Planning and Finance has 4 departments; the Department of Organization and Personnel has 4 departments.

This Decree takes effect from March 1, 2025.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed decisions to transfer and appoint 2 Deputy Ministers of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In Decision No. 400/QD-TTg dated February 25, 2025, the Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Le Hai Binh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In Decision No. 328/QD-TTg dated February 19, 2025, the Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Phan Tam - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The current Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism is Mr. Nguyen Van Hung.
