The President requested to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation

On the morning of December 31, at the Presidential Palace, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong chaired a meeting with the Office of the President to evaluate the results of work in December 2025 and deploy key tasks for January 2026.

Also attending the meeting was Central Party Committee member, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.

The report of the representative of the Office of the President said that in December 2025, the Office effectively advised and served the President and Vice President in performing tasks assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat; serving State leaders attending the 15th Central Conference, the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, and important summary conferences of the Central Committee. Consulting work in the fields of legislative, executive, judicial, national defense - security, and foreign affairs has been implemented synchronously, in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality and progress.

The Office of the President has advised the President to sign an Order to promulgate 40 laws and 1 decree; sign decisions related to international treaties, nationality, emulation and rewardation; successfully serve major activities such as the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, the Military- Political Conference of the entire army, while ensuring many important internal and foreign activities in the last month of the year, ending the term.

Concluding the meeting, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong stated that in 2026, many important political events of the country will take place such as: the 14th National Congress of the Party; election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2030 term.

In that spirit, the Office of the President needs to focus highly on implementing tasks from the first days of 2026; continue to improve the quality of strategic and synthesis consulting work; coordinate with relevant agencies to prepare content to complete the 2026 plan; promote the application of information technology, digital transformation in management and operation of work, meeting increasingly high requirements in the context of the country entering a new stage of development.

President Luong Cuong also requested the Office to focus on advising and serving the activities of State leaders attending the 14th National Congress of the Party; implementing the working program of the President and Vice President during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo as well as other internal and external affairs work in the first quarter of 2026, ensuring thoughtfulness, flexibility, and compliance with practical requirements, without making mistakes or being passive.

The President requested the collective leadership and all cadres and civil servants of the Office of the President to promote the spirit of proactiveness, responsibility, solidarity, close coordination, and good completion of assigned tasks in January and the following months; carefully prepare working conditions, organize the apparatus, facilities, ensure safety, smoothness, and efficiency in all activities of the President and Vice President.
