Proactively refute bad and untrue information about the election
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister requested proactive refutes of bad, toxic, untrue information, and propaganda against disruption and division about the election.
On November 15, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh disseminated the Prime Minister's Directive on organizing the election of 16th National Assembly (NA) and People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Directive has identified the election as a major political event, of important significance to the whole country and each locality.
To ensure the progress and quality of all aspects of the election work, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government thoroughly informed ministries, branches and localities to seriously implement personnel work, ensuring implementation in accordance with the orientation of the Politburo and according to instructions.
At the same time, ensure quality personnel, on schedule, in structure, and components, ensuring democracy.
The Prime Minister's Directive also notes strengthening inspection work, urging People's Committees at all levels to strictly implement legal regulations on elections, especially focusing on commune and ward levels; promptly correcting and handling arising errors.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need to resolutely be vigilant, proactively refute bad, toxic, untrue information, and propaganda against and dividing the election;
Ensure technical infrastructure and enhance digital transformation, apply information technology in election implementation; maintain political security and social order and safety;
Synchronously deploy measures to prevent cyber attacks, ensure network security, protect information systems for elections, prevent and handle timely, and completely eliminate acts of spreading false and disruptive information.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister also noted that he should focus on reviewing and resolving complaints and prolonged hot spots related to elections.
The Directive assigns the Government Inspectorate to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to guide the declaration of assets for candidates, closely linked to the work of reviewing and verifying the background to ensure the integrity of the delegates.
The Government Inspectorate is also assigned to preside over or coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to focus on resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens before, during and after the election, not to let them stagnate or prolong, causing instability.
For localities, it is necessary to organize the entire election in accordance with the instructions and legal process; ensure high quality of bargaining to select and introduce candidates and take full responsibility for political security, order, and social safety to ensure the election is conducted continuously and absolutely safely.
Also at the conference, Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh presented the Professional Guidelines for the organization of the election of 16th National Assembly deputies and People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
