Ca Mau: Results of personnel improvement for the new term of the Provincial People's Committee

On December 30, the People's Council of Ca Mau province, term X, 2021-2026, opened the 7th Session (special session) to summarize and evaluate the results of activities for the 2021-2026 term.

The meeting was attended by comrades: Nguyen Ho Hai - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Pham Van Thieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ho Thanh Thuy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province; along with leaders of the Provincial People's Council Committees, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee Office and departments, branches and sectors.

During the past term, the People's Council of Ca Mau province held 54 sessions, issuing 680 resolutions, including 325 legal resolutions and 445 separate resolutions.

Supervisory activities are enhanced, focusing on key areas, thereby clarifying the responsibilities of agencies, units and heads, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in localities.

The activities of the Provincial People's Committee have changed positively; the direction and management work is increasingly close to reality. The economy continues to develop, the economic structure shifts in the right direction; the average income per capita is increased; investment attraction achieves positive results; infrastructure is invested relatively synchronously. The fields of culture - society, social security have made much progress; administrative reform has achieved important results; national defense and security have been maintained and strengthened.

At the session, delegates passed 7 resolutions such as: adjusting information on projects assigned to the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 and the public investment plan for 2025; supplementing the list and arranging the public investment plan for 2026; stipulating preferential regimes for land rent exemption for each area and field for projects using land for production and business purposes in the investment incentive sector; support for civil servants and employees at specialized schools, public and non-public social assistance facilities; regulating prices for medical examination and treatment services paid by the health insurance fund...

Also at the meeting, the Provincial People's Council agreed to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Minh Phung - former Chief Inspector of the province - from the position of Provincial People's Committee Member for the 2021-2026 term due to being transferred to other work; and at the same time elected Mr. Hoang Phuong Thao - Provincial Party Committee Member, Chief Inspector of the province - to hold the position of Provincial People's Committee Member for the 2021-2026 term.
