Ca Mau spends nearly 132 billion VND to support people welcoming the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year
For the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Ca Mau province spent 131.86 billion VND, to contribute to helping people enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet, with the viewpoint "No one is left behind".
On February 13, Ca Mau organized a meeting to celebrate the Party and Binh Ngo Spring 2026.
Informing the delegates, the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee said that this year the total budget is 131.86 billion VND, of which the local budget allocates 81.5 billion VND to support more than 47,800 people with meritorious services, nearly 11,000 poor and near-poor households, 10,000 workers, over 5,400 children in especially difficult circumstances, along with social protection beneficiaries, patients being treated, and non-specialized commune-level officials. This is a great concern and effort of the province during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
In that spirit, in recent days, Party committees, authorities, businesses, and units have been doing many specific and practical things, paying attention to caring for poor households, and students in remote areas and ethnic minority areas to celebrate Spring and welcome Binh Ngo Tet happily, warmly, and happily.
In the spirit of "no one is left behind", in wards and communes in the province, Party committees, authorities and Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, mass organizations, and businesses in the province organized Tet gift-giving programs for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province informed: Implementing the Tet gift support plan for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province has developed a Tet gift support plan for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances from socialized funds mobilized from organizations and businesses.
Accordingly, the support beneficiaries are poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances living in 64 communes and wards in Ca Mau province with 6,770 gifts, worth nearly 7 billion VND.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has transferred 100 million VND to the "For the Poor" Fund account of each commune and ward. Communes and wards use 50 million VND to buy 100 gifts and 50 million VND as cash gifts. The gift-giving has basically been completed so that the beneficiaries, especially poor households and workers, can welcome a warm Spring in their new homes, creating joy on the occasion of Tet and Spring coming...
