Border Spring Warms the hearts of people in the border area of Ganh Hao, Ca Mau

On January 25, at Ganh Hao Border Guard Station, the Command of the Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard organized the program "Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers" associated with "Spring Border Guard - the Year of the People's Love in 2026.

Attending the program were Mr. Ngo Vu Thang - Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Pham Minh Giang - Political Commissar of Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard Command; and representatives of local authorities, sponsors, philanthropists and more than 300 people living in the coastal border area managed by Ganh Hao Border Guard Station.

The "Spring Border Guard Warms the hearts of the villagers" program is a major policy, with profound political - social and humanitarian significance, launched and implemented nationwide by the Border Guard Command since 2016. After nearly 10 years of implementation, the program has become an annual activity, creating a spreading effect throughout the entire force and has been recognized and highly appreciated by local Party committees, authorities and people.

In Ca Mau, Border Guard stations maintain the organization of disciplined and effective programs, associated with social security work and building a national border posture, contributing to taking care of the lives of people in coastal border areas and strengthening solidarity between the army and the people.

Speaking at the program, Colonel Pham Minh Giang - Political Commissar of the Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard Command said that this year's Border Spring activities continue to be organized according to the motto of practicality, efficiency, and right subjects. According to the plan, the Provincial Border Guard presented over 1,700 gifts, mobilized the construction of 4 houses for people in difficult circumstances, with a total cost of over 2 billion VND.

Within the framework of the program at Ganh Hao Border Guard Station, the Organizing Committee implemented many cultural and social activities such as wrapping banh tet, folk games, performing arts, and "0 VND" booths.

At the same time, the program presented over 650 gifts, worth about 350 million VND to policy families, poor households, and disadvantaged households; awarded scholarships to 11 poor students who overcame difficulties and 4 children in the program "Studying up their children to go to school - adopted children of the Border Guard Station"; organized medical examinations, health consultations, and provided free medicine to more than 150 policy families and disadvantaged people in the area.
