The Ministry of Construction has allocated 138.3 billion VND to Tuyen Quang to repair the national highway

Voters in Tuyen Quang requested the Ministry of Construction to consider and allocate funds to repair, upgrade and overcome the landslide section on National Highway 2 soon to make traffic more convenient and safer.

This is the main road of Tuyen Quang province. This is the route connecting Hanoi to Thanh Thuy border gate. Due to the impact of the recent circulation of storms No. 10 and 11, a 300m long slope has collapsed into the Lo River, forming a frog's jaw and continuing to show signs of winding deep into the roadbed and roadbed, exposing and damaging many underground construction items on the route.

The positive slope is showing a large crack running along the hill, the risk of landslides is very high, if there are continued landslides on the negative and positive slopes, National Highway 2 will be completely cut off.

After studying, the Ministry of Construction responded as follows: On April 16, 2025, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision No. 1373/QD-BTC on transferring decentralized road infrastructure assets from the Ministry of Construction to the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province for management according to regulations, including National Highway 2 in the province.

At the same time, in 2025, the Ministry of Construction has balanced and adjusted the road economic career allocated to the Ministry of Construction to the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province with a budget of 138.3 billion VND (including 48.3 billion VND for national highway management and maintenance after decentralization and 90 billion VND to support overcoming the consequences of floods and storms).

Thus, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province is responsible for managing, investing and maintaining National Highway 2, so it is recommended that the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province forward the voters' petition to the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province to balance capital sources, proactively study plans to repair, upgrade and overcome the consequences of natural disasters on National Highway 2 through the area according to regulations.
