The Ministry of Construction responds to Bac Ninh voters about the proposal to expand National Highway 18
The Ministry of Construction has just responded to Bac Ninh voters' petition to expand National Highway 18 through the area.
Bac Ninh voters reflected that National Highway 18, especially the section passing through Dao Vien ward, Bac Ninh province, is currently overloaded.
Voters requested the Ministry of Construction to promptly pay attention to expanding this National Highway to meet the requirements of people and businesses.
Regarding this content, the Ministry of Construction responded as follows:
On April 29, 2025, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision No. 1604/QD-BTC on transferring decentralized road infrastructure assets from the Ministry of Construction to the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province for management according to regulations, including National Highway 18 in the province.
Thus, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province is responsible for managing, investing and maintaining National Highway 18, so it is recommended that the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Ninh province forward the voters' petition to the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province to study and consider investing in upgrading and expanding the route to ensure meeting regional transportation needs and improving traffic safety on the route. The Ministry of Construction will closely coordinate during the implementation process.
