Appointing 56 officers as Commanders of the Commune-level Military Command in Cao Bang
The Cao Bang Provincial Military Command has just announced the decision to reorganize the Commune-level Military Command and appoint the commander.
On January 14, 2026, the Cao Bang Provincial Military Command (CHQS) held a conference to announce the decision of the Minister of National Defense on reorganizing the Commune-level Military Command under the Provincial Military Command.
The conference was chaired by Mr. Phan Thang An - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee; Attending the conference were Major General Dam Minh Tuan - Deputy Commander of Military Region I, along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and related departments, branches and sectors.
At the conference, the Provincial Military Command announced the decision to reorganize the Commune-level Military Command and awarded decisions on the transfer and appointment of 56 Commanders of the Military Commands of communes in the area.
The organization is to streamline the payroll, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the grassroots armed forces.
In his speech, Provincial Party Secretary Phan Thang An emphasized the important role of the commune-level military force in linking socio-economic development with strengthening national defense and security, especially in border provinces such as Cao Bang.
He requested units to soon stabilize their organization, grasp the area, improve the quality of training, build a strong militia and self-defense force, contributing to maintaining security and order right from the grassroots.
The representative of the appointed cadre affirmed that he will strive to fulfill the assigned tasks well.
