An Giang tightens from the grassroots, ensuring the quality of military recruitment in 2026

According to the plan of the An Giang Provincial Military Service Council (VCSC), from January 5 to 15, 2026, communes, wards and special zones in the province will organize a review of citizens ready to join the army with the participation, inspection and direct direction of members of the Provincial Military Service Council, officers of the Provincial Military Command and the Regional Defense Command. Each member of the NVQS Council must uphold a sense of responsibility, carefully review each case, prioritize the selection of citizens with good health, good moral qualities, and appropriate cultural qualifications, meeting the requirements of building the Army in the new situation.

In addition, the Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command noted that for citizens who are eligible but have not yet been proposed for military service in 2026, local Party committees and authorities need to clearly report the reasons, strictly manage youth resources, do a good job of propaganda and education, and create consensus among the people.
