On the afternoon of January 6, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc chaired a meeting to listen to a report on preparations to organize activities to welcome the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026.

At the meeting, leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports approved a quick report on the preparation for organizing activities to plan an art program - fireworks to welcome the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026, commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026) and successfully welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party in Rach Gia Ward (Phu Cuong Phu Quy Urban Area) and Long Xuyen Ward (Trung Nu Vuong Square) on the evening of February 16, 2026 (the 29th day of the Lunar New Year).

In Rach Gia ward, the provincial administrative center will organize miniature decoration activities to serve people to enjoy spring to welcome Tet; organize sports competitions, spring flower markets; OCOP OCOP san pham Market to celebrate Spring 2026; art program "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Spring Binh Ngo 2026 with the theme of Spring to Phu Quy"; water music performance; folk cultural experience activities at the boat launch in Phu Cuong Phu Quy Urban Area...

In Chau Doc ward and Phu Quoc special area, a special art program will be held to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Party and fireworks will be launched to welcome the Spring of Binh Ngo in 2026 on the New Year's Eve of the 29th of Tet; cultural, artistic and sports activities will be held to serve the people to enjoy the Spring Festival.

The remaining communes, wards and special zones simultaneously develop plans and organize cultural, artistic and sports activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026, commemorate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and successfully celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party in the area. The activities will take place from January 14, 2026 to February 23, 2026.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc basically agreed on the contents and programs. At the same time, he highly appreciated the participation of departments, branches, localities and Phu Cuong Kien Giang Investment Joint Stock Company in implementing the development of activities and plans to prepare for the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc emphasized that the Fireworks Art Program to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 of Binh Ngo is a cultural and political event of special significance, serving the spiritual life of the people in the sacred moment of the new year, contributing to the widespread propaganda of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and successfully celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Party. Therefore, after this meeting, the Subcommittees are assigned the task of developing a detailed plan for urgent implementation.
