Signing 152 collective labor agreements with more beneficial clauses for workers

In the first 7 months of the year, grassroots trade unions of enterprises under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology signed 152 collective labor agreements.

According to the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology (CĐKHCN), CĐKHCN currently manages 200 grassroots trade unions with 82,548 members in 53 affiliated trade unions (3 directly superior grassroots trade unions and 50 grassroots trade unions).

Over the past time, CĐKHCN has focused on directing trade union levels to well perform the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time coordinate with the government and employers to effectively implement the Law on Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots level and the guidelines of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

In the first 7 months of 2026, 146/200 agencies, units, and businesses organized conferences of officials, civil servants, public employees and employee conferences, reaching a rate of 73%. The work of negotiating, signing and implementing collective labor agreements was focused on; grassroots trade unions in the business sector signed 152 collective labor agreements, of which 100% of agreements had clauses that were more beneficial to employees than the provisions of law.

For public non-business units, the implementation of democracy regulations continues to be maintained in a regular manner. 48/48 agencies and units organized conferences of civil servants and public employees (reaching 100%); 100% of units established Steering Committees for implementing democracy regulations at the grassroots level, People's Inspection Boards and issued and supplemented regulations related to financial disclosure, internal spending, recruitment, and personnel management. The awareness and responsibility of the team of workers, civil servants, and laborers in complying with regulations and rules have been raised; internal solidarity, no negative or corrupt cases have arisen that must be handled.

At enterprises, the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level is associated with production and business tasks and ensuring the rights of workers. Enterprises fully implement regimes and policies on salaries, income, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, training, recruitment, profit distribution and funds according to regulations. 98/152 enterprises organized employee conferences, reaching a rate of 64.5%.
