Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation admits over 12,000 union members in 7 months

Thai Nguyen - The development of union members and the establishment of grassroots trade unions helps ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

On the afternoon of August 5th, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation organized a Conference of the Steering Committee for the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, evaluating the results of the first 7 months of the year and deploying tasks for the last 5 months of 2026.

Ms. Do Thi Hien - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairwoman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation chaired the conference.

In the first 7 months of the year, the whole province newly established 92 grassroots trade unions, reaching 102% of the annual plan. Recruited 12,197 union members, reaching 106% of the target assigned by the Provincial Labor Federation and 122% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Introduced 468 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission, of which 157 comrades were admitted to the Party.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Ms. Do Thi Hien - Chairwoman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation, requested trade union levels to continue to closely follow businesses, promote union member development, and establish grassroots trade unions.

At the same time, strengthen digital transformation, improve the quality of trade union activities and be determined to complete and exceed the targets for 2026.
