Further fostering the good, sustainable and long-term neighborly relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia

Expressing her pleasure to meet Comrade Samdech Men Sam An again - a close friend of the Vietnamese people, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai highly appreciated and sincerely thanked the fraternal Cambodian People's Party (CPP) for sending Comrade Samdech Men Sam An to congratulate on the successful organization of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. This shows the friendship, solidarity, and attachment between the two Parties and the two countries.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai congratulated Cambodia's development achievements in the past time; and expressed her belief that under the wise reign of King Norodom Sihamoni and the correct leadership of the CPP led by President Hun Sen, Cambodia will continue to achieve even greater and more comprehensive achievements, achieve the set goals, and the role and position of Cambodia will increasingly be enhanced in the region and in the world.

Highly appreciating the cooperative relationship between the Fatherland Fronts of the two countries that is increasingly consolidated, developing closeness and solidarity, on this occasion, Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai respectfully invited Comrade Samdech Men Sam An and the high-level delegation of the National Council of the Cambodian Fatherland Front for Solidarity and Development to visit Vietnam and sign the Memorandum of Understanding on the Cooperation Program between the Fatherland Fronts of the two countries for the period 2026-2031, as a basis for the two sides to coordinate in implementing activities in the coming time.

2027 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia (June 24, 1967 - June 24, 2027), Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai proposed that the Fatherland Fronts of the two countries coordinate to develop practical plans to strengthen education and propaganda so that all classes of people, especially the young generation of the two countries, deeply understand the meaning and importance, as well as clearly see their responsibility in preserving and further cultivating the good neighborly relationship, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Affirming that the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front leaders always highly appreciate the role of Comrade Samdech Men Sam An, no matter what position he holds, he always makes important contributions to fostering the close relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia, Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai wished that with the good feelings for the country and people of Vietnam, Comrade Samdech Men Sam An would continue to make positive contributions to promoting friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in general, and between the Fatherland Fronts of the two countries in particular.

Thanking for the sincere reception and good feelings of Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Comrade Samdech Men Sam An said that according to the plan, Senate President, Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party Samdech Techo Hun Sen will come to congratulate Comrade To Lam on his re-election as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, but due to busy work in the country, he represented the Cambodian People's Party to come to Vietnam to congratulate him.

Comrade Samdech Men Sam An congratulated Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai on being elected to the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and at the same time re-elected as a Politburo member with the role of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Enthusiastically congratulating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Samdech Men Sam An, on behalf of the leaders of the Cambodian People's Party, highly appreciated the great achievements that the Party, State, Fatherland Front, and Vietnamese people have achieved in the past time, especially completing the contents of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress as well as setting out directions and tasks to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Congress, helping Vietnam to develop further.

The victory of the 14th Party Congress with the solidarity and trust of the Vietnamese people is not only the joy of the Vietnamese people but also the common joy of all countries in the region, including Cambodia.

Thanking Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai for her invitation to sign the memorandum of understanding on cooperation, Comrade Samdech Men Sam An emphasized that the National Council of the Cambodian Fatherland Front for Solidarity and Development will continue to educate and propagate to help Cambodian people better understand the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries; and at the same time actively contribute to consolidating and strengthening the good neighborly relationship, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability between the two countries.
