Ho Chi Minh City organizes Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony in 2026

On the morning of April 26th (March 10th of the lunar calendar), the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City organized the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony in Binh Ngo year 2026 at the Hung Kings Memorial Temple, National History - Culture Park (Long Binh ward).

Attending the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony in 2026 were Mr. Vo Van Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Member of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Major General Vu Van Dien - Member of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City High Command, along with leaders of departments, agencies, branches of the city, wards, communes, special zones, representatives of religious establishments and a large number of people.

Reading the speech commemorating the merits of the Hung Kings, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that commemorating the merits of the Hung Kings is to remember the origin of a profound ideological and cultural symbol; affirming the sacred value of the nation's thousands-year history of building and defending the country.

That is the spirit of solidarity, ardent patriotism, determination to fight against foreign invaders, protect independence, sovereignty and build the country to overcome all difficulties and challenges - the extremely precious traditions of our people.

It is that Vietnamese spirit that has created great strength, helping our nation to defeat all invaders. That tradition is preserved, inherited, awakened, and strongly promoted and indomitable in all circumstances.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City strives to achieve double-digit growth; takes results as a measure; takes people as the center, as the driving force to implement all goals and tasks; takes discipline as the foundation; unlocks and mobilizes all resources to develop synchronous and modern infrastructure, commensurate with creating living spaces, public spaces associated with spiritual cultural values; linking smart urban and rural areas, focusing on marine economy, cultural economy, contributing to promoting socio-economic activities towards digital transformation, green transformation, faster and more sustainable development, and more substantial growth.

At the same time, synchronously implement policies on people with meritorious services to the country, social security, social protection, military rear, determine socio-economics, take the benefits of the people and community welfare to assess the quality of development and implement social progress and justice.

Along with these goals, the requirement is that in 2026, the Party Committee determines socio-economic development with special emphasis and associated with strong promotion, building the people's hearts battle, the all-people national defense battle associated with the people's security battle, the all-people border defense battle; comprehensively completing the organization of local government at 2 levels in a practical, efficient, effective, and efficient direction.
