Brilliant colors of ethnic groups at the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province
Lao Cai - On the afternoon of October 31, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2025 - 2030, held its First Working Session.
The congress has 380 official delegates representing all classes of people, ethnic groups and religions in the province and 185 invited delegates.
Before the Congress, delegates were present early to visit the art exhibition booth of Dat and Lao Cai People's Art, the Suoi Giang tea culture space booth...
The delegates all wore traditional costumes of their ethnic groups with a variety of colors, expressing national pride and cultural identity of ethnic minorities.
At exactly 1:30 p.m., the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2025 - 2030, took place with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Development".
The Congress has the theme: "Enhancing the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, promoting the strength of great national unity, contributing to building Lao Cai province to develop in a green - harmonious - unique - happy direction".
At the First Working Session, the congress discussed the Presidium and the Congress Secretariat; approved the congress's program, rules and regulations and reported on the situation of delegates attending the congress; approved the review report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, term 2024 - 2029.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province consists of 113 members. Of which, 23 were heads of member organizations, 43 were Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level, 38 were outstanding individuals at all levels, social classes, ethnic groups, and religions; experts in various fields and 9 were full-time staff at the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Agency.
The delegation attending the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front includes 16 people, including 5 ethnic minority delegates, 3 religious delegates, 7 non- Party delegates, 6 female delegates and 1 business delegate.
Next, delegates attending the congress participated in discussions, contributing opinions to supplement and clarify the results achieved, difficulties and obstacles and propose solutions to more effectively implement the front work in the next term.
The Congress also approved the report on the synthesis of comments on the Draft Political Report of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, comments on the Draft Documents of the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026 - 2031 term and the report on comments on amending the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (term X).
Also at the First Working Session, the congress elected 114 members to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, term I, 2025 - 2030.
On the morning of November 1, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2025 - 2030, solemnly opened.
