The silent people help the Philippine tourist get lost in Hanoi
Ms. Hoang Thu Thuy and student Ly Duc Minh provided timely support to the male Philippine tourist who was looking for relatives when lost in Hanoi's Old Quarter.
A case that is considered quite rare when Mr. Junnie Reyesm, 64 years old, from the Philippines traveled to Vietnam with his family. On the evening of January 2, Mr. Junnie Reyes went out to drink coffee, forgot to bring his phone, identification documents and could not remember the name of the hotel he was staying at.
He got lost and could not find a way back to the hotel. With less than 200,000 VND in cash in his bag, he took a taxi and asked the driver to take him to the only place he could remember, which was Airport.
The male tourist was taken by taxi to Passenger Terminal T2 - Noi Bai International Airport. Here, Mr. Junnie Reyes encountered many difficulties when asking for help because he was not fluent in English.

On January 3, Mr. Junnie Reyes was lucky to meet Ly Duc Minh, a student at the University of Foreign Languages - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS) who is practicing as a Customer Care Ambassador at Terminal T2.
With a sense of intuition, Minh quickly realized that the customer was having problems. He came to meet, tried to ask questions and reassured the male tourist and took him to the information counter area for timely support.
Ms. Hoang Thu Thuy - an information counter employee at Noi Bai Airport Management Center - shared with Lao Dong: " since Minh brought the tourist out for support, we tried to exchange information, but after a short time, feeling that Mr. Junnie Reyes was getting more and more tired, we quickly arranged a resting place and provided food and drinks. At the same time, please contact the emergency support from the immigration police unit".

As soon as they exploited and connected information data from the Philippine tourist, Minh and Ms. Thuy and her colleagues looked up the entry data, identified the hotel where Mr. Junnie Reyes's family was staying and tried to contact to find relatives.
"The situation happened on the weekend with many limitations in contacting for support. However, I have patiently accompanied, flexibly used communication tools and cared about the patient's health. Knowing that the guest had been safely reunited with his relatives, I was really happy that I had done something meaningful" - Minh student shared more.
The representative of the male tourist's family also expressed their emotion at the enthusiastic support from Ms. Thuy, student Minh and airport staff, and authorities: "Our family was very panicked, thank you for helping us have a safe trip and celebrate Mr. Junnie Reyes' 64th birthday in Vietnam".
The story attracted thousands of interactions on social networks. Many people left compliments and thanked the airport staff for quickly supporting the male tourist from the Philippines to find a family.
So wonderful! A beautiful image in the eyes of both foreign and Vietnamese tourists, reader Ngoc Nguyen commented.
As long as such good deeds are done - Vietnam will be beautiful in the eyes of international friends and tourists, said account Ho Hung.
"The actions of Minh and Thuy are wonderful, tourists will definitely always remember Vietnam with kind people", Xuan Hien wrote.
