Support 185 million VND for Ta Nung Shelter in Lam Dong after the fire

Lam Dong - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has just supported Ta Nung Orphanage with 185 million VND after a fire burned down a row of rooms of children.

On December 28, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province informed that the unit had just organized a visit and support to the Ta Nung Shelter in Cam Ly - Da Lat ward after the fire.

Mr. Pham Trieu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province kindly visited and encouraged the children being raised here.

Mr. Trieu also donated 185 million VND from the province's "For the Poor" Fund to support the Ta Nung Shelter. Of which, support was given to 25 students who are being cared for here, each of whom 5 million VND for living expenses; the remaining amount of 60 million VND was given to support this facility to rebuild the row of rooms that had just burned down.

Mr. Pham Kim Quang - Secretary of the Party Committee of Cam Ly - Da Lat Ward said that Ta Nung Orphanage (formerly known as the Humanitarian Preschool) is located in the grounds of the Central Linh Church. Over the years, this facility has taken care of about 40 orphaned children who have been homeless since they were young.

"Immediately after the fire, the Cam Ly - Da Lat ward government urgently supported Ta Nung Orphanage with 60 million VND to help the facility overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives and studies."

A representative of Tanh Linh Church said that currently, the living rooms and dining rooms have been temporarily arranged as a place to sleep for the children during the repair of the rooms that have just burned down.
