National Assembly Chairman attends the solemn opening of the National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union

Implementing the Charter of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and Directive No. 48-CT/TW, dated June 24, 2025 of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee on leading the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels towards the National Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term 2026 - 2031, the IX National Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term 2026 - 2031 opens.

Attending the Congress were leaders and former leaders of the Party and State: Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former Politburo members: former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

Also attending were Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; former Politburo Member, former Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

On the side of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union, there was Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union Luong Quoc Doan.

On the side of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor were Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan.

In particular, 598 delegates, who are typical cadres and farmer members, representing the will, aspirations and wisdom of more than 10 million cadres and farmer members nationwide, attended the Congress.

The IX National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term 2026-2031, takes place in the context of the country entering a new era. The entire Party, people, and army are actively implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the Resolutions of the Politburo.

The IX National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union is the Congress "Solidarity - Democracy - Breakthrough - Cooperation - Development", with the task of assessing the situation and results of the Union's work and the farmers' movement from the VIII Congress to now, setting out directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2026-2031 term, concretizing the spirit of the Resolution of the I National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031.
