Handing over charity houses helps households in Can Tho stabilize their lives
Can Tho - The handover of charity houses shows the support of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Trung Hung commune for households in difficult circumstances.
On January 17, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Trung Hung commune (Can Tho city) said that the unit had just held a charity house handover ceremony for Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc (Thanh Phu 2 hamlet, Trung Hung commune). This is a practical activity to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031.
The house has an area of 48 m2, with a total construction cost of 60 million VND. Of which, 15 million VND was taken from the "For the Poor" fund of Trung Hung commune, 30 million VND was mobilized by the locality from socialized sources, the rest of the family contributed. In addition, Trung Hung commune charity group also supported 150 working days, contributing to reducing construction costs and speeding up the completion of the house.
At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tao - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Hung commune - said that supporting the construction of a charity house is an activity of profound humanistic significance, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the community, contributing to helping poor households and disadvantaged households stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.
In his emotion, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc expressed his deep gratitude to the local government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, the charity committee and the benefactors for their attention and support in helping the family have a new house, creating motivation to rise up in life.
The handover of charity houses has brought shelter to people in difficulty, contributing to the effective implementation of social security work and sustainable poverty reduction in Trung Hung commune. The activity also creates trust, promotes the spirit of great national unity, enhances the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune and socio-political organizations in the locality.
