Can Tho City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has 2 more Vice Chairmen
Can Tho - Mr. Pham Van Buoc and Ms. Trieu Thi Ngoc Diem have just been elected as Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, term I, 2025 - 2030.
On the afternoon of January 10, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City held a conference to summarize the work of the Front in 2025 and socio-political organizations in 2025 to deploy work in 2026.
According to the report, in 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of the city and its member organizations have focused on implementing the Action Union Coordination Program well, achieving 12/12 of the set targets.
In social security work, the Front at all levels has mobilized and presented 135,966 Tet gifts, 309,000 kg of rice, with a total value of more than 83 billion VND; presented 169 solidarity houses to poor and near-poor households during Tet.
Responding to the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", the whole city has completed the construction and repair of 11,462 houses, with a total cost of more than 651 billion VND and more than 2,500 working days.
Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City launched a contribution to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10. As of December 24, 2025, the City Fatherland Front Committee has received over VND 36.62 billion from agencies, units, organizations and individuals contributed and supported.
Campaigns and patriotic emulation movements continue to spread widely. The movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" has been effectively implemented with 315 model points; the city currently has 59/72 communes meeting new rural standards; maintained with 643 self-management models promoting efficiency in many fields.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Dong Van Thanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City praised the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and socio-political organizations of the City.
He suggested that the Front continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; the Resolution of the City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term; the Central Committee's strategic resolutions; spread the atmosphere of the 14th National Party Congress and propagate the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Mr. Thanh emphasized the need to strengthen coordination with member organizations to effectively implement the 2026 Coordination and Unity of Action Program; organize election work well; promote supervision and social criticism; regularly stick to the grassroots, promptly gather and reflect people's opinions and recommendations.
He suggested that the Front focus on innovating the content and methods of operation; perfecting the streamlined and efficient organization of the apparatus; building a team of cadres with courage and responsibility; promoting digital transformation. Continue to coordinate effectively the implementation of campaigns and emulation movements, taking care of social security, especially during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026; strengthen solidarity among ethnic groups and religions, mobilize social resources to serve the socio-economic development of the city.
At the conference, delegates signed an agreement to supplement and replace the members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, term I, 2025 - 2030 for Mr. Pham Van Buuoc - Chairman of the Can Tho City Veterans Association; Mr. Ta Dinh Nghia - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Can Tho City Journalists Association; Ms. Trieu Thi Ngoc Diem - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Ward People's Council and Mr. Phan Lung Pha - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Quoi Ward.
The conference also elected Mr. Pham Van Buu and Ms. Trieu Thi Ngoc Diem to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, term I, 2025 - 2030.
