Giving Tet gifts to children in difficult circumstances
Ho Chi Minh City - Nghia Thanh Commune Trade Union has organized Tet gifts for disadvantaged children in the "Tet for Children" program.
On February 9, Nghia Thanh Commune Trade Union (HCMC) said that it had coordinated with the Commune Youth Union to organize Tet gifts with the theme "Tet for children" in 2026.
This is a meaningful activity to care for children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the area on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
In the program, the Nghia Thanh Commune Trade Union presented 15 gifts to children of workers in difficult circumstances working at local enterprises, each gift including 1 million VND in cash and Tet gifts. Thereby, contributing to helping workers' and laborers' families have more conditions to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet, tightening the bond between workers and the Trade Union organization.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded 30 "Supporting Education" scholarships to students who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, orphans (from fundraising sources of the Commune Youth Union, mobilizing connections with philanthropists to support). The scholarships are valuable spiritual encouragement sources, helping them have more will to rise up in their studies, and at the same time support union members and workers to alleviate some difficulties in life.
Through the "Tet for Children" program in 2026, it has continued to affirm the companion role of the Commune Trade Union and the Commune Youth Union in caring for children, ensuring that all future buds can celebrate Tet more fully and warmly.
