Over 90 million VND to support the family of a union member who passed away due to illness

On the afternoon of August 22, Mr. Le Cong Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, concurrently Head of the Trade Union Work Committee, visited, encouraged and shared the difficulties with the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc, a union member of Lac Ty II Company Limited, who recently passed away from illness.

The representative of the Company's Trade Union said that Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc died on June 27, 2025 from lung disease, leaving his 70-year-old mother alone. Faced with difficult circumstances, the Trade Union has launched a fundraising campaign among union members and workers, supporting nearly 84 million VND, the Company and the Trade Union have supported an additional 6 million VND.

Speaking at the visit, Mr. Le Cong Khanh emphasized that the Can Tho City Labor Federation highly appreciated the gesture of the Trade Union and the collective of workers of Lac Ty II Company Limited. This is a practical and humane action, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing among union members and workers. Trade unions at all levels will continue to accompany, care for, and promptly support union members and workers to have more support in difficult and disadvantaged times.

It is known that up to now, the Trade Union of Lac Ty II Company Limited has organized donations and supported 163 cases of union members and relatives upon death, with a total amount of over 1.3 billion VND, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love in the Trade Union organization.
