Union members and workers in Dong Nai donate to support people affected by storms and floods
Dong Nai - Grassroots trade unions are mobilizing union members and workers to join hands to support people affected by floods.
On October 13, the Trade Union of New Apparel Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bac Dong Phu Industrial Park, Dong Phu Commune, Dong Nai Province) announced that the unit has launched a donation program to support people in provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.
According to the company's Trade Union, in the recent past, storms and floods have seriously affected many areas across the country.
In particular, storm No. 10 caused heavy damage to people and property in the provinces, causing thousands of households to fall into difficult situations, suffer losses, and need the sharing and help of the whole society.
Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of New Apparel Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. launched a donation program to support people in provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.
"We call on all officers and employees in the company to promote the tradition of mutual love, helping each other, and voluntarily contribute to share some of the difficulties and losses with people in flood-affected areas. The contribution, although small, contains the kindness, solidarity and community responsibility of each member in the company," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Chi - Chairwoman of the company's Trade Union.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Chi - Chairwoman of the company's Trade Union added that she has currently received 112 million VND.
At Freewell Company Limited (Dong Phu commune, Dong Nai province), the Trade Union has also launched a fundraising campaign to support people affected by floods. Union members' support can be sent directly to the donation room of the Trade Union or the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province.
Mr. Le Mong Hoang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Freewell Company Limited said that many union members are responding to the implementation. The grassroots trade union is gathering to transfer to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province.
