Workers hope to have more income to accumulate for the future
Ms. Vo Thu Trang, worker of Appareltech Ha Tinh Export Garment Co., Ltd.:
Working as a worker for many years, I realize that current income is basically only enough to cover monthly expenses of the family. After paying for food, water, electricity, travel and living expenses, workers almost have no savings or accumulation left.
The characteristic of the garment industry is high work intensity, often overtime to meet orders. When young, workers can work with high productivity, but in the long run, their health will gradually decline. Without savings, many people will face difficulties when they have to quit their jobs or need treatment costs.
In addition to improving income, I also hope that the State will continue to have solutions to control inflation and stabilize prices of essential goods so that workers' wages are not devalued by increasing living costs. When income is improved and prices are kept stable, workers will feel secure in sticking with businesses, having better conditions to take care of their families and long-term lives.
Ms. Dang Thi Kim Lanh (42 years old, residing in Ky Khang commune, Ha Tinh province), Head of production department management of Nam Ha Tinh Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Vung Ang Economic Zone):

Having been attached to Nam Ha Tinh Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company for more than 20 years, I see that the enterprise always cares and takes care of employees quite fully. The company arranges collective housing for workers far away, has shuttle buses, meals are guaranteed and menus are constantly changed, helping employees feel secure at work.
Currently, my income ranges from about 8-10 million VND/month, depending on the output at each time. This income level basically meets living needs, however, in the context of increasing prices of many goods, workers still hope to have higher incomes to improve their quality of life and have more conditions to take care of their families.
What I want most is for businesses to continue to pay attention to adjusting wages in accordance with the production and business situation and the actual lives of workers. In addition, if bonuses on holidays and Tet are increased, it will be a great source of encouragement, helping workers have more motivation to stick with the business for a long time.
Regarding welfare regimes such as housing, shuttle buses, and meals, I assess that the company has implemented them quite well. I hope the business will continue to maintain and improve the quality of these policies so that employees are increasingly assured to work and contribute for a long time.
Ms. Dau Thi Van (born in 1991, from Do Luong commune, Nghe An province), factory worker BU11, Luxshare Tech Company at VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park:

What I am most looking forward to now is to have more public bus routes or expand the network of buses to pick up workers to the VSIP area, helping workers travel more conveniently and reduce monthly costs.
Currently, many workers in localities such as: Yen Thanh, Hop Minh, Dien Chau, Duc Chau, Hai Chau, Do Luong, Bach Ngoc, Thanh Chuong... have to use shuttle bus routes with costs that are still quite high compared to their income. Each month, travel expenses account for a significant part of total spending, significantly affecting the lives of workers.
I hope the province will pay attention to opening more public bus routes connecting to VSIP Industrial Park or strengthening the network of buses to pick up workers in localities with many workers working in industrial parks. When there are more travel options with reasonable costs, workers will reduce the burden of spending, save more income and be assured to stick with businesses for a long time.
