Prime Minister will discuss with Trade Union delegates about double-digit growth targets

7:39 AM: Vice President of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Thai Thu Xuong announced the results of the first Conference of the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On June 4, 2026, in Hanoi, the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026 - 2031, held the first conference to discuss and resolve issues.

The conference elected 27 officials to the Standing Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The conference elected Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the General Confederation, as Chairman of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026 - 2031.

Electing 4 Vice Presidents of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, including Mr. and Mrs. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the 14th General Confederation; Thai Thu Xuong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the 14th General Confederation; Nguyen Xuan Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the 14th General Confederation; Le Van Nghia - Member of the Standing Committee of the 14th General Confederation, Head of the Trade Union Project Management Board.

The conference also elected the Inspection Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, including 15 members; elected Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to be elected as Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The program is themed "Vietnam Trade Union accompanies the Government to improve labor productivity, implement the goal of double-digit growth".

This is an opportunity for union members, workers and trade union officials nationwide to directly reflect reality, propose initiatives, and propose solutions to contribute to the successful implementation of the country's development goals in the new period.

Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the 14th VGCL - said: "This is a very new content, unique and only the Trade Union organization has it. To achieve the 100-year strategic goals of the country, which in the immediate future is the goal of double-digit growth, we must definitely improve labor productivity.
