Bustling Workers' Month in the mountainous city of the border region
Lang Son - Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 have just been launched.
On April 28, at the Hall of the Party Committee - People's Committee of Dong Kinh ward, Lang Son Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Provincial Labor Federation to organize the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
The program takes place in the atmosphere of the whole country towards the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1st, and is also an opportunity to honor the contributions of workers and laborers to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan - Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the workforce and labor force always play an important role in the cause of industrialization and modernization.
In Lang Son, this team has made many positive contributions to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and building an increasingly civilized and prosperous homeland.
In 2026, Workers' Month has the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity"; Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health has the theme "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age".

At the program, 24 workers with outstanding achievements in production and business in 2025 were commended and rewarded. In which, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 workers, and the Provincial Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit to 14 workers.
Along with that, 200 workers participated in the "Day for Workers' Health" program with free health check-ups and consultations, 0 VND gifts, discounted shopping and visiting booths on occupational safety and hygiene.


Within the framework of the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee arranged many outdoor experience activities such as escape models in smoky environments, using fire extinguishers, using personal protective equipment, experiencing virtual reality glasses, occupational safety and health management consulting, and online job exchanges.
After the launching ceremony, the Provincial Council for Occupational Safety and Health and related units organized visits to workers who suffered labor accidents in the area.

Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, and localities to continue to coordinate with trade union organizations to care for the lives and protect the legitimate rights of workers. Businesses need to fully implement labor policies, social insurance, equip protection equipment, safety training and periodic health checks for workers.
Through this year's series of activities, Lang Son expects to raise awareness about safety in the workplace, promote labor productivity, and build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
