Hue City Labor Federation starts construction of "Union Shelter" for women providing food to people in difficult circumstances
HUE - Hue City Labor Federation started construction of "Union Shelter" for female caregivers in difficult circumstances in An Cuu ward.
On the morning of September 9, the Hue City Labor Federation (LDLD) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the "Union Shelter" for union member Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu - a catering staff of the Hoang Mai Kindergarten Union (An Cuu Ward, Hue City).
Ms. Nhu, 45 years old, is currently raising her two children alone after her husband passed away. With low income and difficult circumstances, for many years now, the three of them have lived in a small house with their parents-in-law.
Later, her parents-in-law gave her a small piece of land to build her own house to live in, but economic conditions did not allow her to build a house.
Now, thanks to the support of 60 million VND from the "Union Shelter" Fund of the Hue City Labor Federation, combined with other support sources, the dream of a stable place to live for Ms. Nhu and her 3 children is gradually becoming a reality.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, representatives of the Hue City Labor Federation kindly visited and encouraged Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu, and affirmed that the Trade Union organization will continue to accompany and share with union members in difficult circumstances.
