Nghe An trains union officials of communes and wards
Nghe An - On the morning of September 9, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a professional training conference for union officials of communes, wards and full-time positions.
The conference was attended by full-time staff of the Trade Union Work Committee, ward and commune union officials, and staff assigned to account for the ward and commune union.
In his opening speech, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized: This conference is of special significance in the context of many comprehensive changes in the local government apparatus after the reorganization. Commune and ward trade unions are a new model, implemented for the first time, bringing many differences in functions, tasks as well as personnel organization.
The head of the Provincial Federation of Labor suggested that lecturers and reporters choose key contents, present them clearly and scientifically, making it easy for students to absorb and apply them immediately in practice. At the same time, he also hoped that the cadres participating in the training would uphold their sense of responsibility, exchange frankly, and share practical difficulties to resolve them together.
The conference is also an opportunity for units to meet, connect, and exchange experiences, thereby finding solutions to improve the quality of trade union activities at the grassroots level, Mr. Tam emphasized.
The training program focuses on four key contents: Trade Union Law; Trade Union Charter and functions and tasks of Commune and Ward Trade Unions; work to establish grassroots trade unions, develop union members; trade union finance; along with the regime and policies to care for and support union members, implement major activities such as Workers' Month, Tet Sum Vay, emulation and rewards, organize workers' conferences and dialogues at the workplace.
After the teaching session, the conference spent time discussing and answering problems in practical trade union activities. Through the conference, the grassroots union staff was strengthened in legal and professional knowledge, improved skills in mobilizing union members, and increased connections and experience sharing.
